Geocache Description:

The last of five on a wander along the coast from Milner's Tower to Fleshwick. You are recommended to make a loop, returning via the Lhag and Bradda if starting from Bradda Glen. A great walk in fine weather, not advisable in poor conditions as a) you won't get the benefit of the views b) the path is narrow and close to the edge of high, steep cliffs in places. The descent into Fleshwick is steep and can be slippery at all times.

Well done, you've survived the descent! Now consider, the Mountain Marathon used to come up here, having started in Ramsey, for a finish at Bradda Glen. Crazy or what? The afternoon we set these caches we met a pair of mountain bikers, pushing/carrying their machines up here. I don't know about bikes, they were absolutely off their trolleys I reckon.

Down on the road to your left is a ruined shed, many years ago it was a cafe with tennis court, serving the tourists visiting Fleshwick beach. Even more years ago, one of Mrs, Caaghyrs Crew's ancestors used to hire rowing boats for use off the beach, it would have made a pleasant excursion around the bay, possibly up the coast in the Niarbyl direction or round the corner towards Port Erin. I wonder if any of them got a fright from the big basking sharks, we've met them right in close to the beach on a warm day. At the end of the day the proprietor had to climb back up the hill on the north side of the beach, to the ruined house or tholtan, known in the family as the "Free States".

To business:- the cache is similar to (2), just not part of a fence. It should be fairly obvious, leaning against the wall and ivy, a metre or so off the path.

From here descend to the gate, turn right for Bradda and Port Erin, this will bring you back along the Rocky Road and Ernie Broadbent Way to Bradda.
