FR: Situé à environ 1570 mètres d'altitude (cela dépend des sources et du côté de la route où vous vous trouvez), Grimentz est un joli village pittoresque du Val d'Anniviers. Une petite balade dans la rue principale vous fera voyager dans le temps avec ses maisons de bois fleuries de géraniums, ses greniers et ses raccards datant du XVIIe siècle, son moulin et sa scierie. Ce village est aussi apprécié en hiver pour son domaine skiable relié à Zinal (depuis 2013) et profitant d'un bon enneigement. En été, de nombreuses randonnées sont possibles notamment en direction de et depuis le barrage de Moiry. Depuis 1990, le Grand Raid Cristalp (course VTT partant de Verbier) arrive à Grimentz à la fin du mois d'août.
Le 1er janvier 2009, la commune de Grimentz a fusionné avec les communes d'Ayer, de Saint-Jean, de Vissoie, de Saint-Luc et de Chandolin pour former la commune d'Anniviers.

EN: Located at about 1570 meters above the sea level (depending on the references or the side of the road you are), Grimentz is a nice picturesque village in Val d'Anniviers. A little stroll down the main streeet will make you travel back in time with is wooden houses flowered with colourful geraniums, its granaries and raccards from the XVIIe century, its sawmill and diverse machinery. This village is also famous for its well snow-covered slopes. From 2013, its skiing area is linked to Zinal. In Summer, Grimentz is also a departure for numerous hiking, like for example a walk to the Moiry dam and further. From 1990, Grimentz is the arrival of the Grand Raid Cristalp, a swiss mountain bike race marathon that starts from Verbier.
On 1st January 2009, this independent municipality merged with its neighboring Ayer, Saint-Jean, Vissoie, Saint-Luc and Chandolin to create the Anniviers municipality. |
