Geocache Description:

The church choir is the oldest fortified whole assembly structure, it is arched cross and is built with quarry stone. With the multiplication of the Turkish invasion in the late fifteenth century, it began fortification of the church. Thus, the ship, the altar and apse were raised one level, showing them two sets of ramparts. By the second floor of the tower is communication between the two spaces above the apse and the ship. Buttresses are on the west side of the ship were united by arches made of brick, thereby creating small holes hardware defending semicircular entrance.
