After playing basketball with our son and friends at a school nearby, our son's friend left the school using this road. Speed limit on this road is a clearly stated 35MPH. Just over a mile down the road, our son's friend rolled his car on a bend, while shifting into 5th gear.
Thank God, he was unhurt and just shaken up. It is ingrained in our memory, a visibly upset kid sitting there against a big fir, next to his rolled over car.
At the time no one was laughing. Now, it is one of those most memorable childhood stories to share.
The lesson learned: YOU CAN'T DRIVE 55 on this road. Well, we suppose you can......
