Hunting Around Hillesden is our third series centering around villages close to Buckingham with 28 caches to be found and a couple of others very close by. The terrain is very flat with the first half mostly through arable fields ( with chest high rapeseed between 10-14 at peak season), but with easy to follow footpaths, and the second half follows the " Padbury Brook" with fast flowing water and prone to flooding in winter, so keep an eye on geokids, finishing at the very impressive gardens of Hillesden House. When placing the series we did not encounter any farm stock although cows, sheep and horses could be seen in nearby fields. We recommend doing the series in numerical order as the second half is both scenic and relaxing and a nice way to finish. The trail is around 7k in length with a mix of caches but all placed to be found with relative ease but you will need tweezers and a pen. We hope you enjoy the series and we welcome any feedback.
