djbach: It's time to archive this event. It was another successful weekend of events. Thanks to those who attended. It was great seeing many familiar faces and a bunch of new ones. Thank you to those that came a great distance.

Geocache Description:

Six years we’ve been doing this prior to the Art & Air Night Glow and each year our attendance gets better.  Plan to join us again this year and pick up the first of three geocaching events for the weekend.  We will begin our weekend by meeting on Friday, August 26, from 5-7pm in the hospitality room at the Albany Phoenix Inn, 3410 Spicer Road SE (N 44 37.703 W 123 03.646).  This is a different meeting place than last year and should be able to better accommodate our large group.  There is also plenty of parking.

Many of us will be bringing our “picnic” dinner so feel free to bring yours, or not, and join us as we talk geocaching and share our summer travels.   This is a great opportunity to see old friends, make new ones, find help with those pesky puzzles and move along the trackables you’ve been collecting.  There are many new geocachers in the area and this is a great opportunity to welcome them.  Never fear, you’ll still have time to head to the park for the evenings night glow activities which are scheduled to begin at dusk.

Be sure to come back the next day, Saturday, August 27 for the final two events of the weekend, the Albany Art & Air Challenge VI (GC6KQ98) and "IT'S A WRAP 4" (GC6KTJ7).
