Geocache Description:

Part of  a series taking you to some of our favourite places to spend time in Toronto.

Parkdale library is located at 1303 Queen Stree West.

It is the sole host of the Sun Life Financial Musical Instrument Lending Library.  This library give allows anyone 18 years or older with a valid adult Toronto Public Library card to borrow an instrument.   For more information on this program, visit

This library is also one of four that has a Rita Cox Black and Caribbean Heritage Collection.  The others are Malvern, Maria A Shchuka and York Woods.  It is also one of a growing number of libraries that has a scanner available for use.

A brass globe statue sits right outside the library.  This was installed in 2005 by Heather & Little and the globe is officially titled "Bronze Globe World Peace Monument' and was designed by Halifax artist Peter Dykhuis.
