Maria A Shchuka Library is located at 1745 Eglinton Ave W. Posted coordinates are for the parking lot.
When the library first opened at this location in 1951, the story-and-a-half, red-brick building included York Township Public Library administrative and technical services offices, book storage space and a bookmobile garage. Since then there have been multiple renovations increasing the size of the building and moving the other services elsewhere.
This library was renamed in 1997 in honour of Maria A Shchuka who had been head librarian of the location from 1979-1996.
