Look Out!
Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site presents "Look Out". This series includes three caches that are an introduction to geocaching and they are all located within the day access area of Kejimkujik. These caches take you to different viewing platforms where you can observe nature as far as the eye can see.
Windswept White Pine
Looking out at Kejimkujik Lake, you are able to see the island-studded expanse East of Indian Point. The mood of the lake changes constantly and the prevailing Westerly winds have influenced how the White Pine grow here. They appear to be leaning in the direction of the wind. This natural phenomenon can be observed from other trails along the lakeshores at Kejimkujik.
Que voyez-vous?
Le parc national et lieu historique national Kejimkujik vous offre "Que voyez-vous?"; Cette série est composée de trois caches, toutes situées dans l'avant-pays de Kejimkujik et se veut une introduction à la géocachette. Les trois caches vous mèneront à différents belvédères où vous pourrez observer la nature aussi loin que votre oeil vous le permettra.
Des pins blancs balayés par le vent
En regardant le lac Kejimkujik, vous pouvez voir les nombreuses îles réparties à l’est de la pointe Indian. Les conditions sur le lac changent constamment, et les vents d’ouest prédominants ont orienté la façon dont les pins blancs poussent dans le secteur. En effet, ils semblent inclinés dans la direction du vent. Ce phénomène naturel peut être observé à partir d’autres sentiers riverains à Kejimkujik.
