Please be conscious of muggles and re-hide the cache as well as found. Also please don't take the stamp or the inkpad, thanks and enjoy!
There aren't nearly as many fireworks (or as my mom likes to remind me "Boomers," ha, that's what I called them as a kid...) as there used to be years ago, but it hasn't detracted from the fun of Independence Day for me! There's still plenty of professionally run fireworks displays to enjoy, some of them amazingly choreographed compared to the random chaos that used to be my old neighborhood in Graniteville, ha, and there's still fun to be had at the yearly Fourth of July Parade in Travis, or the traditional Huck Finn fishing contest in Willowbrook (this year will mark its 88th year!)!
I could get sappy again (I know, I know, my love life revolves around holidays; DawnAIC & I have anniversaries on St. Patrick's & April Fool's, and we were engaged last year on Independence Day! <3) but I'll spare you all the cute stuff, ha. Lately what I think separates us from the other four boroughs is Staten Island is the only place in the city that's home to a national emblem; Bald Eagles! If you are lucky enough you might even spot one soaring overhead, it's a pretty cool sight! So anyway, I hope you enjoy this letterbox!
Congrats to Looking 4 Secrets for FTF, TheBlondeRevolver & TheYellowDart#----> for STF & SynDaLog for TTF!
