Klipkopje Spring Sleep Over 2016 Event Cache

This is the first weekend of the new season indicating that summer is on its way and the perfect time for a sleepover especially under the sky of the Mpumalanga Lowveld.

Friday 2 September 2016:

• Arrive at Klipkopje Dam reception any time from 12h00 (S25 13.282 E31 00.601)

• Pay reduced fees for entrance and camping fees for the weekend.

• Prepare camping sites and start making fire for the great spring braai.Please bring own fire wood, meat, cutlery and drinks.The nearest shops are approximately 14km’s away.

• Meet fellow geocachers and share stories whilst sitting next to the fires.

• Sufficient ablutions are available for campers and there are some permanent tents available for those who prefer not to pitch their own tents.More info available from the CO.

• One can go and sleep whenever one feels like it as long as the people who stay awake keep the people who want to sleep in consideration.

Saturday 3 September 2016:

• Early rise and shine and prepare breakfast.

• Attend quick meeting to discuss and arrange groups for CITO.

• 10h00 depart in groups to attend the CITO event.This event is not compulsory but participants who do attend this event will get a further discount on their accommodation for the weekend.This event will take between 3 and 5 hours depending on the number of participants and on how long the cachers take to log the caches in the area.As the groups arrive back at the camping site, those who wish to do so, will be taken to discover a cache especially placed for the event.

• 16h00 the fires will be started for another get together.Please supply own wood or charcoal for braaing purposes.Wood for a bomb fire will be provided.

Sunday 4 September 2016.

• Rise and shine as you wish.

• Join us for a Spring Breakfast.Everyone to supply own food and eating utensils.

• Exchange and logging of TB’s and Geo-coins and participants can depart at their own time.

• For those who are unable to attend the sleepover and who are willing to drive to Klipkopje Dam at any time over the weekend, please do so as we would like to make the event accessible to everyone.

• You do not have to sleep over to claim the event but normal daily fees will apply to all who attend.

• The event can be logged on any day of the weekend.

Pricing.

• R30 per day per adult and R15 per day per child under the age of 12.

• Camping R 50 per stand.  Max 6 people  .Supply own camping gear.

Accommodation.

There are 5 permanent tents and a caravan and ample camping sites available.  For further information regarding the permanent tents and the caravan, please contact the CO.
