1950-luvulla Jussin ja Juuson ollessa nuoria poikasia he olivat jo kiinnostuneita kalastuksesta. Perimätiedon mukaan he lähtivät eräänä kesäisenä päivänä kalastamaan pienen pyöräretken päähän. Heillä oli mukanaan asianmukaiset kalastusvälineet eli mato-onki ja kourallinen matoja taskussa. Lisäksi pyörien tarakoilla keikkui repulliset eväitä. Eväät tulivat syötyä jo matkalla ja molemmat kalamiehen alut olivat valmiita päivän työhön. Jussi ja Juuso etsivät sopivan kalastuspaikan, pujottivat madot koukkuihin ja sylkäisivät matoihin. Sitten vain syötit lampeen. He odottivat ja odottivat, mutta koho ei liikahtanutkaan. English version: "The pond of the two-headed perches"
In 1950s there were two young lads called Jussi and Juuso who were already very interested in fishing. According to the legend the lads took their bikes on one sunny summer day and went fishing to the pond nearby. They had a proper fishing gear with them aka fish rods and a handful of worms in their pockets. They had also packed lunches on their bike racks, but all the food was finished even before the lads arrived to the pond. Anyway, the young fishermen were ready for the day’s work. Jussi and Juuso found a perfect spot for fishing, put the worms on the hooks and spat on them for good luck. Then they cast the baits into the pond. They waited and waited, but the float did not move at all. The lads did not give up but continued fishing despite the hot mid-day sun – they were very patient fishermen already at young age. Finally, they saw a little bite! Jussi and Juuso got excited and draw the catch out of the water. The lads recognised that the fish was an “ahvena” – which is a perch in local dialect. But the perch had two heads! While they were staring at the fish, it got away and jumped back into the pond. When the boys went back home and told their story, the adults interpreted it to be only a fishermen’s tale.
Now you have a chance to see what kind of fish live in the Pond of the two-headed perches. In order to solve the mystery, you need to step in the fisherman's boots and find the correct fishing spot. The given coordinates lead you next to a telecommunication mast. While standing on the steps, you should find two birches near each other (about towards south) and the first jar is just near by them. You will find the further instructions in the first cache. Please note, that you will approach the pond from the cliff side, but the trail does not lead you to the cliff. The cliff is high and slippery! Have fun!
