The Rutheruord Hall mansion also had tennis and golf recreation requiring large-scale landscape features. The aerial photo shows the golf course in the field north of the front of the house, with the tennis court among the trees to the southwest of the house. The golf course had three holes, but each hole was played several times at different angles to make up a game.
