How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Come earn your souvenir and join us at St David’s church for a cache in trash out event.

Cache In Trash Out (CITO) is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community.  Since 2002, geocachers around the world have been dedicated to improving parks and other cache-friendly places

Date:     Saturday 17 September 2016

Time:     09:00 – 11:00

Bring the following for the CITO:

  • Black Bags
  • Braai tongs or a sharp stick (to pick out rubbish from yucky places)
  • Gloves
  • Something to drink
  • Sunblock, Hat, Sunglasses etc
  • Comfortable Shoes
  • Insect repellant

Join us afterwards for a braai at the Botanical Gardens.  Please bring your own picnic basket or meat and sides if you want to braai.  A blanket or chair will be handy.

Entrance fees at the Botanical gardens:

Adults – R20

Senior Citizens – R12

Scholars – R12

Children under 6 – Free
