Geocache Description:

Okay, I admit it - I thought of a fun name for a cache before I knew where it should be placed. But this turned out to be a cool spot, too!

AKGH519! Farmergang! Karma! Skifast! Tundra Tim! Alpine Adventurers! -and anyone else who loves the high country!

At the time of this cache placement, Reed Lakes trail is still open, and almost entirely snow-free, here in early October! Take advantage of this Alaska-style "Indian summer", and go get it!

Park at the Reed Lakes parking area, up Archangel road and proceed on the way to Reed Lakes. Bout 2 1/4 miles in, as you're making your way through the big boulder field, look for the biggest boulder near where your GPS takes you. I doubt the coords will be great here in the canyon, so I'll leave a big ol', juicy hint. *NOTE*: Be careful of the deep holes in the area, down to the source of the "thunder", and be sure not to fumble the container in reaching it! It would be pretty much unrecoverable!
