Geocache Description:

Konteiners ir lock lock kastīte ar standarta aprīkojumu.

AUF DIESEM FRIEDHOF RUHEN DEUTSCHE UND LETTISCHE SOLDATEN GEDENKET IHRER UND DER OPFER ALLER KRIEGE.

ŠAJĀ KAPSĒTĀ DUS VĀCU UN LATVIEŠU KARAVĪRI PIEMINIET VIŅUS UN VISOS KAROS KRITUŠOS .

Slēpņa tuvumā atrodas Tautas apvienības 2004. gada 9. jūlijā iesvētītā Otrajā Pasaules karā kritušo vācu karavīru kapsēta, kurā apbedīti aptuveni 2580 kritušie karavīri, tostarp arī latvieši. Viņu un Daugavpils karagūstekņu nometnēs bojā gājušo vārdi minēti 14 stēlās centrālajā laukumā. Kapulaukus iezīmē krustu grupas. Mūrī pie ieejas atrodas niša, kurā metāla futrālī ievietoti Daugavpilī apbedīto karavīru un karagūstekņu saraksti.

There are about 3,000 German and Latvian soldiers buried on this war cemetery. They fell between 1941 and 1944 at fightings for the city Daugavpils against the Red Army.
