Bobovška jezerca / Little lakes near Bobovek

Leta 1965 so našli ohranjene ostanke fosilne ribe klenič (Leuciscus leuciscus). Leta 1971 so glino prenehali izkoriščati in nekdanje glinokope je zalila voda. Jezerca so danes zaraščena z vodnim in obvodnim rastlinjem. Postala so življenjski prostor številnih vodnih živali in ptic. Jezerca (mlake) so zaradi ornitoloških, paleontoloških in drugih posebnosti zaščitena in razglašena za naravno znamenitost.

Several small lakes developed in the abandoned clay pits that attract numerous swimmers in summer and skaters in the winter, and fishing is also possible. However, environmentalists complain about such tourist development since the marshy area around the lakes is a unique natural habitat. The overgrown water surfaces and willows on the banks where 236 species of plants grow have become an important biotope for nesting birds and are even more important as a resting place for migrating birds and thus one of the most important marshes in Gorenjska. More than 150 bird species have been observed on the lakes and their immediate surroundings. During an excavation in 1953, the skeleton of a fossilized Ice Age mammoth was discovered, and in 1965, numerous fossil fish skeletons (a type of whiting) from the same period as the mammoth, about 180,000 years ago, were found in the area.
