The History
Starting from 1726 the church was completely renovated by Giovanni Antonio Scalfarotto, who preserved the old apse and dome.
Between 1765 and 1771 Bernardino Maccaruzzi rebuilt entirely lafacciata proposing a similar model to the nearby Scuola Grande facade. The building built by Bon you can still see the old portal and rose, which look to the school, in addition to the main chapel and two side.
Facade
The facade is decorated with statues by Giovanni Marchiori. From left: Gerard Sagredo and Gregory Barbarigo; the right side, Lorenzo Giustiniani and Pietro Orseolo. At the center above the door: San Rocco heals the plague of Giovanni Maria Morlaiter.
