I have arranged this CITO event with the Surrey Wildlife Trust. We will be tidying up the Newlands Corner area. A bonus this time is that you will earn a geocaching souvenir.
Where: Newlands Corner Car Park
When: Sun 23rd April 10:00-14:00
We will assemble at the Newlands Corner Visitor Centre from 10am. Once we have all arrived we will be briefed by the SWT Events team, and you will be provided with gloves and litter pickers. There will be some refreshments. If you want more there is the cafe of course.
The SWT tell me that parking charges haven't started yet (and when they do we will be exempt as volunteers).
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome and dog owners must pick up after their dogs.
We will break at 13:30, and reassemble at the Visitor Centre. If you want to bring your trackables along you will have an opportunity to swap them at this point. After that I will take some photos of the team with hopefully a huge rubbish pile.
When you post your "Will Attend" log it would be helpful if you say how many people will be coming with you. That way I can give the SWT team an indication of how many of us to expect.
There are a variety of caches close to Newlands Corner - traditionals, multis, puzzles and an Earth cache nearby - some of which you will pass while doing the CITO.
