Texas Musicians Museum
Built on a site which was known for car sales from 1961 until at least 1981, this location now hums a different tune. Creative displays of music and performers blend to tell the musical history of Texas through song, memorabilia and photographs. You’ll find displays on Elvis, Buddy Holly, Selena, and Barbara Mandrell to mention a few. Located along one of the first original streets of Irving, this is now a popular attraction for locals as well as tourists in our city.
Across Irving Blvd., or First Street as it was originally named, is the location of one of the three lots donated by Julius Otto Schulze and Otis Brown for churches in Irving. The church was South Delaware Church of Christ. Today Manatiales De Vida (Assembly of God) Church owns the building.
