Der Towel Day ist ein Gedenktag für den britischen Autor Douglas Adams, der mit "Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis" berühmt wurde. Seit 2001 findet der Internationale Handtuchtag alljährlich am 25. Mai statt.

Towel Day is an annual celebration on the 25th of May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952-2001). on that day, fans around the universe carry a towel in his honour. Thank you for being part of this & always remember: DON'T PANIC!

Wir treffen uns von 9:00 bis 10:00 Uhr an den angegebenen Koordinaten, plappern über Douglas Adams, Babelfisch, Maus und die Welt und suchen die Antwort auf die Frage "Wo die Vogonen wohl wohnen?" Wer möchte, kann eine besondere Reise durch Raum und Zeit mit uns unternehmen, doch dazu später mehr.

Wie jedes Jahr gibt es natürlich noch den Hinweis: "Vergesst das Handtuch nicht!"
