Doyle Hollis Park is our favorite go to neighborhood space. It opened in September 2009, after being cleared of an existing warehouse and concrete parking lot, and has been well utilized since. In addition to the open lawn and children’s play area, the park has a half basketball court, an amphitheater, a public art fountain designed by artist Masayuki Nagase, and plenty of picnic areas and benches that are in full use most sunny weekends.
Parking is easy around the park, but if you have time, this is a great neighborhood to stroll and enjoy the beautiful Doyle Street greenway that has been built out over the last decade. You are looking for a small cache placed by a mischivious kid. Finding best approached during off peak park use hours--if it's a sunny warm weekend probably early morning or late afternoon or later. A TOTT such as tweezers may be needed for extraction; we've left a tool there but don't count on it remaining.
