Plan to stop by Chinook County Park from 10 to 11 am on Sunday, September 17 -- on your way out of town or on your way to more caching adventures -- to help clean up one of our local parks and earn one more event smilie for the weekend!
The park is about a 15 minute drive south from the Sunday morning breakfast buffet event, Jailbreak Breakfast (GC73TKM). The park offers plenty of parking, public washrooms, day use picnic tables, and a nice setting along the banks of the Columbia River. Your well-behaved dogs are welcome! Trash bags, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be provided. If you have other tools, like litter grabbers or tongs, you're welcome to bring those along.
Last year, we collected a big pile of trash and some tires, leaving the park in great condition and earning high praise from the county parks officials. Let's do another great job this year to show our love for Long Beach!
In addition to this wrap-up CITO event for the weekend, you'll also want to make it to a Friday evening pizza Meet 'n Greet, Jailhouse Grub Dinner (GC73TJK), a full day of geocaching fun on Saturday that kicks off with Cache Dash Splash III - Behind Bars (GC73TKM) as well as an early-bird Sunday breakfast buffet, Jailbreak Breakfast (GC73TKM).
For all the details on the full lineup of weekend events, be sure to head to the official Cache Dash Splash website for all the insider information!
This CITO event is being co-hosted by the Washington State Geocaching Association - Southwest Chapter and funbeach, and is published with special permission from Groundspeak, Inc.
