Geocache Description:

LAT: Slēpnis ir novietots pie kanāla-caurtekas, kas savieno Lielo un Mazo Nabes (Nabas) ezerus. Konteiners ir neliela lock-lock kārba, kurā atrodas viesu grāmata un zīmulis.
ENG: Cache is hidden near channel that connects Big and Small Nabes (Nabas) lakes. Container is small lock-lock box and contains logbook and pencil.


Kuldīgas – Ventspils šosejas malā atrodas divi savstarpēji savienoti ezeri - Lielais (70,5ha) un Mazais Nabes (65ha) ezeri, citos avotos tie saukti arī par Nabas ezeriem. Kopš seniem laikiem šādi sauca ezerus, ko ar kuģojamu upi savieno kanāls – nabas saite. Lielo Nabes ezeru ar Ventu savieno ap 1 km gara noteka. Tagad pie ezeriem ir iecienītas atpūtas un makšķerēšanas vietas. Ezerā mīt vēdzele, kaze, zutis, ķīsis, asaris, līnis, karpa, karūsa, plaudis, līdaka, plicis, rauda, rudulis, sudrabkarūsa, ālants, sapals, salate, ausleja, grundulis, spidiļķis, vimba, sīga, zandarts, vīķe, akmeņgrauzis, trīsadatu stagars, deviņadatu stagars, sams. Mazajā Nabes ezerā ietek Garūdens un Zīļuvalks, bet Lielajā Nabes ezerā – Tumšais valks (lielākā pieteka Kumeļvalks) un Struņķu valks.
