🎥 Where: Weston Turville Village Hall, School Approach, Weston Turville, Bucks. HP22 5RW.
The given co-ords are for the free car park, where you may park at your own risk.
🎥 When: 6.30-8.30pm, Sunday November 5th 2017.
The film showing will start at 7pm prompt and lasts a little over an hour. There will be time for caching chitchat and exchanging trackables, and knowing BBHers, there may well be cake...
🎥 Note: As in previous years, there is a cost involved in hiring the hall so there will be a donations box for your contributions by the door. £2 per adult and £1 per child (6-15) is suggested. This is in line with Groundspeak guidelines, and any excess will be used to help fund the 2018 Winter Geolympix, with profits from that event going to charity.
Tea and coffee facilities are provided.
🎥 What: A gathering of geocachers to chat about caching and swap travel items, but also a family-friendly, hour-ish-long Geocaching film screening of around 17 mini movies made about caching, by cachers, from around the world.
🎥 Why: Team Hippo has kindly hosted local GIFF events in 2016 and 2015 but would like to attend one as a guest. This will be the 119th Bucks, Beds & Herts Bordering on the... Event, a recurring mid-monthly (ish), mid-week (not on this occasion) series of meets which began in 2008, for cachers from the three counties and beyond.
🎥 Who: Cachers from far and wide. New to cache meets or geocaching in general? You'll be made especially welcome. Especially if you bring popcorn. All films are family-friendly, so bring the kids too if you like.
🎥 How: Getting to Weston Turville's village hall is easy. Set your satnav to the co-ords for the car park for best results.
🎥 What is GIFF?: On the very long weekend of 2-6th November, geocaching events will be held worldwide at which the 17 finalist films from the 2017 Geocaching International Film Festival will be shown publicly for the first time. The films are suitable for all ages. Geocachers who attend and log this event will receive a special Souvenir on their profile. See the related web page for more details.
🎥 Hall Rules: No dogs, sorry. No smoking or vaping. No alcohol or drugs. Anyone bringing food for consumption of others rather than themselves should be in possession of the relevant Food Hygiene Certificate(!)
🎬 In your Will Attend log, please include the number of people so I can track numbers, as I need to inform the hall's owners for insurance purposes 🎬
