What better way to celebrate this day then spending the day with some geocachers and cleaning up one of the larges parks in Baytown?
This event will be in Jenkins park starting at 2:00pm - 3:00pm but you are free to stay longer if you wish.
Jenkins park is a large park that has a varity of activities. Some of these activities include geocaching, several hiking trails, wildlife watching, a munzee virtual garden, 2 baseball fields, 2 bark parks, a full disk golf course, several picnic areas, several covered patios, BBQ pits for public use, and I have even seen people fishing in the creek that flows thru the park.
So come meet some local geocachers, tell your geocaching adventure, trade TBs, play in the park, or if you are new to caching and want to learn about our addiction we will even give a geocaching 101 course if you like.
Inside the park there are two caches that are part of the Baytown Geotour. If you have not done this tour I would recommend coming into town early in the morning and spend all day in town. If you complete the tour you will receive a speacial Baytown Geotour geocoin. So come into town and enjoy the day Outdoors!
Trash bags will be provided for this event, but you will need to bring your own gloves or grabbers if you wish to use them.
