Geocache Description:

Number 898 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

This cache was placed to celebrate the official opening of Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership’s first Tourist Information Kiosk on Friday 31st March 2017. Matt Barnes, Regional Development Manager from GWR performed the ceremony.
Patrick Wilson, Chair of the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership, said:  “Kiosks give us the opportunity to provide information to our visitors at places that are convenient to them, such as this first one located at Swan Corner in Pewsey, in sight of the Pewsey White Horse.  Inside, you can find an illustrated map of the Vale of Pewsey, as well as leaflets on things to do, places to visit, events and advertisements from our members.”
Each advert has a QR code so that you can scan it with your phone to take you to the relevant page on our website - www.visitpewseyvale.co.uk.  This project has come about from an idea from Pewsey Parish Council, together with funding from Wiltshire Council's Pewsey Area Board as well as effort from volunteers involved in the execution of the fittings and material inside.
For enquiries about the Pewsey Vale Tourism Partnership, or the Tourist Information Kiosk, please contact Susie Brew – susie@visitpewseyvale.co.uk.
The cache is not inside the phone box, so please do not dismantle the displays! Please return as found, and take care with the delicate retrieval system.
The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum but is now managed by mattd2k.
