LV Slēpnis novietots Dziesmu svētku promenādē. EN Cache is placed at the Song festival promenade


 [LV] Kocēnu novada Dikļos 1864. gada vasarā norisinājās pirmie latviešu dziedāšanas svētki. To organizators bija Juris Neikens – ievērojams literāts, skolotājs un mācītājs. Šodien īpašo dziedāšanas prieka un dziesmas spēka auru var izbaudīt Dziesmu svētku promenādē. Šī ir arī vietējo iedzīvotāju tikšanās un atpūtas vieta.

Šis slēpnis ir arī daļa no tūrisma akcijas "Simtgades dārgumi". Valmieras Tūrisma informācijas centrs sadarbībā ar Kocēnu, Burtnieku un Beverīnas novadiem aicina piedalīties tūrisma akcijā „Simtgades dārgumi”! [ENG] In summer of 1864 in Dikļi (Kocēni County) the first Latvian Song festival took place. It was organized by the famous Juris Neikens, who was a writer, a teacher and a priest. Currently the magnificient aura from the joy of singing and the power of a song can be felt at the Song festival promenade. This is a beloved meeting and leisure place for locals.

This cache is also part of tourism campaign “Centennial treasures”. As Latvia’s centennial is approaching, Valmiera Tourist Information Centre in cooperation with Kocēni, Burtnieki and Beverīna Municipalities invite you to travel around Valmiera and its vicinity, in search for the hidden treasures.
