Die Umbenennung des einsteigen Mullwitzkogel in Wiesbauerspitze durch die traditionelle österreichische Spezialitätenfirma Wiesbauer im Jahre 2017, hat großes mediales Interesse hervorgerufen. Im Jahre 2008 wurde auf Initiative der Gemeinde und der firma Weisbauer ein Wanderweg auf den noch einsamen Berg angelegt. Es handelt sich um eine lange Tour im hochalpinen Gelände. Informiert Euch über die Wettervorhersage und geht nur mit entsprechender Ausrüstung.
This cache will take you to the Mullwitzkogel (Wiesbauerspitze) where is one of most beautiful panoramatic views in the Hohe Tauern. You will see almost everything that has rank and name from the deep Maurer valley to the Großvenediger, Großglockner, Schobergruppe and Lasörlinggruppe.
The renaming of the Mullwitzkogel to Wiesbauerspitze after the traditional Austrian speciality company Wiesbauer in 2007 has resulted in a great deal of media attention. In 2008 on the initiative of the municipality and the company Weisbauer a hiking trail was created on the still deserted mountain. You can find the detailed desciption of the hike directly on the web page of Wiesbauer (in German) here. In 2013, a new cross was erected at the Wiesenbauers peak.
The hike to this place is demanding and is suitable only for experienced Alpine tourists. It should be done only at good weather condition and with appropriate hiking equipment.
