Geocache Description:

Friday, October 20, 2017 from 8:00 am until 9:00am

Off-road fun with old friends and new!

Back by popular demand is an event for the 4X4 geocachers. Non 4X4 vehicles are welcome to attend the meet-n-greet event, but should probably avoid joining the group when they go out to play afterwards. That's up to you..!

If you do some schmoozing, you may be able to find some empty seats with the off-road drivers. When you log your "will attend", if you're willing to take along an extra passenger, make note if you're driving a 4X4 and any spare seats you expect to have. Those looking for a ride on the "forest" roads will be able to contact you. Sorta like car pooling, but more fun..!

Let's meet up at the listed coordinates @ 8 am to share some stories about mud, sand, dust, the joys of playing in the ONF (Ocala National Forest) , and anything else that comes to mind. Sure... geocaching is an acceptable topic.

Coffee, milk, water, and an assortment of those deep fried goodies that are named after a maneuver done with a vehicle on a large flat surface, will be shared. FYI.... execution of that maneuver is not encouraged at this event.

At 9am, as the meet-n-greet wraps up, we will be waving the green flag to start the Rally. At this point instructions for the Rally will be given to those joining in. Seven (7) unattended Rally points will be your quest. Coordinates will be on the instruction sheet and will need to be entered into your GPSr manually. Time is not as important as points. Turn your points in at the Trading Post back at camp from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. The winning teams will be announced along with the winners of the Chilli Challange tonight at 6:45pm.

Don't forget to fill the gas tank. Bring your snacks, lock those hubs, turn on the A/C, load the coordinates and lets go Rally.
