Welcome to the Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission's 2017 Geocaching Adventure! This year, we have placed nine geocaches in our properties throughout the county. Your mission is to find them, note the code words listed inside each cache and, once you have found all nine caches, contact us via the Send Email option on Geocaching.com with your complete list of caches and related code words. Those geocachers who complete the adventure will receive a special collectible. But wait! There's more! One of our geocaches is a mystery cache. To find it, you'll need to collect the coordinate segments from three different caches. One of our 2017 caches is also a little more challenging than a traditional hide, so prepare to be challenged! If you're gunning to be our FTF this year, be sure to email us your list of code words as soon as possible! Now head outside and have a wonderful Adventure!
The Whitmore Lake Preserve is now open! This 235-acre preserve was purchased in 2013. More than three miles of trails let visitors explore diverse habitats, including, meadows, mixed hardwood forest, and wooded wetlands, with scenic views over a large marsh and small lakes. Please be very careful in removing the cache from its hide and when replacing it once you've signed the log. Thanks!
Congratulations to HelloLola for being the FTF this cache!
