[FI] Lintujen saarella oli rauhallista, lukuun ottamatta lähelle ankkuroituneesta possulaivasta kantautuvaa mesoamista. Eivät ne kuitenkaan uskaltaisi rantaan asti, niistä ei siis tarvinnut välittää. Heikin mielestä oli liiankin rauhallista. Hän kaipasi elämäänsä enemmän vauhtia!
Heikki kaivoi kartat esiin ja tutkaili mahdollisuuksiaan. Haa! Siinä se! Autoista kiinnostuneelle linnulle löytyi juuri sopiva määränpää suunnilleen kilometrin päästä. Siellä saisi ajaa lujaa ihan luvan kanssa! Ritsan avulla sinne pääsisi hujauksessa, pitäisi vain vetää kuminauha tarpeeksi kireälle ennen laukaisua.
Hätiköidessä ritsa tuli kuitenkin suunnattua liian alas. Kaiken lisäksi lentoonlähdön jälkeen lounaistuuli riepotteli poloista lintua. Lentomatkan puolenvälin jälkeen Heikki säikähti ohi kiitävää nuolta ja rysähti keskelle suorakaiteen muotoisista kivistä muodostuvaa kasaa. Siinä päätään selvitellessään hän huomasi ohi kulkevia ihmisiä, joilla oli jousipyssyt olallaan. Nyt oli mitta täynnä! Matka jatkuisi jonakin toisena päivänä. Heikki pomppi kuusikon suojiin ja kyhäsi sinne itselleen pesän pientä lepäämistä varten…

[EN] The Isle of Birds was peaceful but for the racket that came from a boat of pigs that was anchored nearby. Though they wouldn't dare come to the shore, so they could be ignored. In Heikki’s opinion, things were too calm. He wanted more action to his life!
Heikki dig out his maps and explored his options. Ha! That's it! As cars were one of his interests, the bird found an excellent destination about a mile away. There he could race as fast as he wanted, and with permission! He could get there with the help of a slingshot, he just needed to pull it tight enough before shooting.
However, in a hurry the slingshot got aimed too low. In addition to that, the poor bird got jolted around by the southwestern wind. After passing the midpoint of his flight, Heikki got startled by an arrow shooting by him and crashed in the middle of a pile of square shaped boulders. While he was trying to clear his head, Heikki noticed men with bows passing by. Now he’d had enough! He’d resume his journey some other day. Heikki bounded into the woods and fashioned himself a nest to rest for a while...
