D.C. has a street named for each of the 50 states, plus Puerto Rico. As dedicated D.C. geocachers, we have made it our mission to hide a geocache on each of these streets. Due to other nearby caches, this one is not right on Wisconsin Ave., but it is just a short walk away.
We urban adventurers love Glover Park for so many reasons!:
1. The Glover-Archbold Trail is nearby. It's one of the best trails outside of Rock Creek Park proper, reaching from Van Ness St. all the way to the C & O Canal.
2. Guy Mason Park hosts an excellent playground themed for the nearby Naval Observatory with different climbing structures than most DPR playgrounds.
3. Tasty food options are numerous!
Though not near a metro stop, it's accessible by many bus lines, has a ton of parking options, and is a great neighborhood to spend some time in.
Be sure to go down the stairs near this cache to check out local artist Jarrett Ferrier's mural honoring the neighborhood's namesake, Charles C. Glover. Glover helped make happen some of DC's most beloved places: the National Cathedral, Rock Creek Park, and the National Zoo!
This is a magnetic cache! Be sure to bring tweezers and your own pen.
