Access to Fatiau Tuai is either through Vaiea village, or via a track starting opposite the Noni farm gates. Either bike or walk, no rental cars please. A track carries on from Fatiau Tuai to the coast, and if a big swell is running the waves breaking on the reef are spectacular here. Two whales cruised past here on the day we placed the cache.

There is a board giving the history of the village near the cache, and a path that you can follow around the village perimeter.
Information Board
The history board conflicts with a story that we were told on a conservation tour some years ago, and yet another story was published in a booklet on Niue. History has a habit of being rewritten it seems.
