ALBERTVILLE – CANADA150

*Please BYOP* You are looking for a nano magnetic container.

Albertville, a small, mainly Francophone village situated northeast of Prince Albert, was established at the beginning of the 20th century.

In 1914, the year its first post office opened, the Francophone village of Albertville created its own credit union, becoming one of the pioneers in the field of banking cooperatives in Saskatchewan. Founded by Father Abraham-Louis Lebel to improve the economic situation of farmers in the parish, it was small and it ceased operations in 1936. However, its existence shows the importance of cooperative values to French Canadians.

Today, there are about 110 people living in the Albertville region, most of them farmers.
