thekennelat79: Time to put this one to bed, but it would be remiss of me not to thank all of the attendees who made it such a good evening.

Geocache Description:

Wednesday 8th November. 2017

The Crown Hotel

8 High Street, Emsworth, Hampshire, PO10 7AW

Tel: 01243 372806

The evening will be hosted by Rod and Chris of “Thekennelat79”, who will be in attendance from around 6.00 pm..

Since Wednesday is a fairly quiet night for pubs in Emsworth, Paul the Landlord and his wife have kindly agreed to close the pub to the general public from about 6 pm onwards.  Our group will therefore have the whole pub to ourselves from 6.00 pm to 10.30 pm!

Please note the main front entrance will be closed (in order to deter Muggles from entering) and we will use the back entrance from the car park.

As well as a large bar area with plenty of tables, there is also a courtyard garden area available, (if the weather is warm enough!).

A good range of food is available, but if this is not to your taste then there are plenty of nearby places to eat.
See the above link to the pub website for further details

In order to give the kitchen staff a chance to get food orders out fairly quickly, and avoid a “log jam”, it would be very much appreciated if you would pre-order your choice direct with the pub.
Please try to place your order by contacting the pub by Wed. 1st Nov and mentioning the "private Geocachers party"

The Crown Hotel is located on the north side of the central village square.
From the A259 Havant to Chichester road, turn South at the mini roundabout into the village, and the pub is a few hundred yards along on the left hand side.

There is a fair amount of local on-street parking available, and 2 large car parks (free after 6 pm) can be found within 3 or 4 minutes walk at
South Street Car park N 50 50.740 W 000 56.226
and
Palmers Road Car Park N 50 50.909 W 000 56.170 ).

As is now traditional, there will be a good raffle and the large wooden treasure chest will be available for the swapping and discovering of Geocoins and Travel Bugs.

If you have not been to an event cache before and would like to experience something different, then please come along and enjoy yourself.

In addition to the chance to meet other cachers, you will have the opportunity to swap and discover trackables, get hints for local puzzle caches, and tell your tall caching stories!

All are very welcome, even those "Furriners" from West Sussex, Surrey and further afield!
We look forward to meeting you all, wherever you come from.

We are quite a friendly bunch and promise not to bite!

Children and dogs will be made very welcome, provided that they are kept under control!

Any questions? Do feel free to drop me an e-mail on chrisrod@ntlworld.com or via my GC.com profile
