Don't be surprised to hear people speaking French here! Saint Isidore de Bellevue is located near highway 225 and this is a village where French is the first language of a vast majority of the residents.

From the very beginning, the population of the parish was composed mainly of Métis and French-Canadians. The parish of Bellevue was founded in 1902, with the arrival of Abbé Pierre-Elzéar Myre. The post office opened its doors on April 1, 1904.

Bellevue (which means beautiful view) owes its name to the magnificent view of the region from the top of the Minnitinas Hills.
