Geocache Description:


 

 

St Rome de Dolan 

 

est un petit village de la Lozère de 73habitants,

au-dessus des Vignes et des gorges du Tarn à 870m d'altitude.

Il est à la lisière du Causse de Sauveterre, là où le panorama est grandiose.

Le bourg est la patrie de Pierre Monestier (1855-1925), député de Florac,

il occupa les fonctions de Ministre des travaux publics et

favorisa la construction de la route des Gorges du Tarn (1906).

 

En allant au bout du sentier, on arrive sur la route D995.
