Wanting to help the Jews in Europe in the war, i enlisted to the British army and trained to be one of the 37 Jewish paratroopers from Palestine. In 19EF i was parachuted into Yugoslavia, with the aim to assist the Hungarian Jews.
However, i was caught at the Hungarian border and imprisoned, and eventually was executed. Also known by my poems, the poem "a walk to caesarea" is one of the best known songs heard in Holocaust Day ceremonies in Israel every year.
