GEM CITO in conjunction with the Waterbike Collective
Come along and do some litter picking on the River Trent.
The Waterbike collective is a free 1000 mile community Waterbike adventure collecting 1 million pieces of litter from the waterways of the UK. Come and support the great cause as the Waterbike passes through Nottingham.

WHERE :Launching from BEESTON MARINA
Free Parking on the nearby side streets and there is a Geocacher friendly cafe within 100m of the event.
If everything goes to plan, the Waterbike will be present at the event. It will be travelling from Leicester to Nottingham between the 31st May and 3rd June.
The log book will be on board my boat which will remain at the coordinates stated for the duration of the event.
Don't have a boat?
Come along and grab a spare seat in another boat and help pick litter.
Note : you should have a licence to paddle on the Trent. Short term licences are available from this link Online Licence Purchase
If you don't want to take to the water, then feel free to litter pick on the banks of the river.
Health and safely
Please bring your life jackets / life preservers. You are responsible for your own safety on the river.
Please bring your own litter pickers. I will supply bin bags and will handle the disposal of the rubbish if Rushcliffe Borough Council are unable to respond to my request for help in a timely fashion.
