A Grand Day Trip To Whitby
Where ? - Whitby
When ? - Thursday 2nd August 13:00-16:00
What ? - Paddling, Sandcastles, Crabs (and Vampires ?)

Welcome to Whitby!
Home to Dracula, Captain Cook, King Oswiu’s monastery and Jet, though sadly not the Gladiator but the black rock.
While you are here there are so many things that you can explore, though we do recommend that you do that on foot. We strongly advise parking at the waypointed car park and use the excellent park and ride service, as you can imagine, Yorkshire’s seaside towns in summer are busy places with limited parking!
Once arrived, some of the committee and mega makers will be at the coordinates to hand out crabbing buckets and bait, there will be a couple of prizes for the biggest catches of the day, in size and number. Naturally, so we can ensure we get the right number of buckets, line and bait, we need accurate numbers, so please help us by adding your will attend. There will always be a committee member at the coordinates though, so if you want to just sit with us and soak up the east coast rays, that's cool too.
You may wish to spend the afternoon on the beach, visit the abbey or retrace Bram Stoker and James Cook’s footsteps. And don’t forget to try Whitby’s world famous fish and chips or scampi
