Elmer and Alberta Shinabargar were my grandparents that used to own this land. I grew up hanging out here every summer and winter as a child, swimming in the lake across the street, watching the parade & fireworks on the 4th of July and sledding and skating on the ice in the winter.
Elmer was born February 4, 1895 and really liked fishing. He would be out on the lake every day, unless it was storming. He used to have a fishing supply store across the street. He passed away on November 1, 1980.
Alberta was born January 18, 1910, was great at keeping the house, cooking, making quilts and crocheting mittens for each of her grandchildren each year. I have still not had a cherry pie as good as hers. She sold the land to the DNR in the mid 1980’s and moved to Texas to live near her daughter (Vivian Dennis). Alberta passed away on March 8, 2004.
The container is a dangling camouflaged medium pill bottle with a couple of tokens for the FTF.
Will be higher difficulty for the vertically challenged.
Congrats to DirtbikeGranny for the FTF.
