Welcome to "Orange Rock"
Anyone who has found a couple of my hides knows that I quite like sandstone escarpments; the 'orange rock.' This cache is no exception:
There are many components to the local sandstone, some are more important than others but a mixture of:
olivine schist quartz sedimentary peridotite peridotite clay gypsum mafic feldspar schist peridotite mafic quartz iron gypsum mafic mafic feldspar sedimentary peridotite sedimentary clay mafic schist schist feldspar schist mafic olivine schist clay mafic quartz olivine sedimentary gypsum schist gypsum clay olivine mafic peridotite olivine sedimentary mafic mafic olivine peridotite iron iron quartz mafic clay gypsum gypsum, olivine mafic peridotite olivine
Once you have found the coordinates, you may like to pack the pushbike and walking shoes as the trail is a bit overgrown and scratchy for Geomobile SUVs (yes you will need something more capable than a 2wd up here). The final walk out to GZ is pretty thick, but stick to the north side of the crest of the spur. All pretty easy terrain except for this short scramble:
The 'scramble is less than 2m with some good holds, but coming back down some may want assistance.
