Well, maybe not ancient, but certainly one of the oldest in the ACT. I'm sure many of you have been to the Bendora Arboretum. Established in 1940, it is a lovely little arboretum with very mature trees. But did you know there was another plot close by? There is a plot of Lawson Cypress, which appears to have been completely forgotten! Certainly it is not on the nearby map, and it is also not in the ACT Arboretum book, which covers all past Arboretums in detail. It is rather unkempt with no nice paths or signs. However - it seems this plot was planted before the rest of the plots in the Bendora Arboretum, as some of the trees here are very large! Quite a lot larger than the other trees in the main plots. So certainly worth a visit.
Please BYO pen.
