Applying Geocaching to Education
This cache is a part of a pedagogic European Erasmus + project called « Geocaching - Minds on the Move ». Pupils and teachers from seven different countries (France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain) have used Geocaching as an Educational Tool. We hope you’ll enjoy it.

Salumi tipici
Questa cache fa parte di un percorso enogastronomico in 4 tappe alla scoperta dei prodotti tipici del novarese. Il Piemonte, in particolare la zona del novarese, è famoso per i suoi deliziosi salumi tipici. Le specialità delle aziende locali sono, oltre alla produzione di carni fresche, quelle, molto interessanti, dei salumi artigianali di puro suino quali i fidighin, deliziosi insaccati a base di fegato di suino, e il salam d’la duja, prodotto tradizionale consumatissimo, ideato all’epoca in cui porre sotto grasso i prodotti permetteva di conservarli mantenendo tutta la freschezza e gli aromi della carne.

Traditional cold cuts
This cache belongs to a food&wine trail in 4 steps to discover the typical products of the area. Piedmont, especially the area around Novara, is famous for its delicious typical cold cuts. The special production of the surrounding farms consists in fresh meat and – even more interesting - artisanal pure pork cold cuts, such as fidighin, delicious sausages made of pork lever, and salam’d’la duja, a widely consumed typical product, invented when putting sausages in grease was one of the best ways to preserve them, keeping all the freshness and the flavor of the meat.
