Geocache Description:

Having grown up on this place, I'm very familiar with its history.  The large house used to be a hotel for railroad travelers back in the early 1900's.  When I lived here, the house had a large wrap around porch.  It still has many rooms,  an open staircase and a large hallway like hotels normally do.  Had to put a cache down by this creek.  Growing up,  I spent many summer days playing here.  There used to be a large, square 4 foot concrete culvert under this road until recently,  when Clay County replaced it with two galvanized culverts.
