War Memorial cache #481 We will remember them ~ St Mary and St Cuthbert
The plaques on this memorial were part of the original First World War Memorial for Chester-le-Street. The memorial plaque was originally located in Front Street, housed in a building with arcade entrance. However due to redevelopments and abuse of the shelter this was demolished in the 1960's. A photo of the original memorial can be seen here.
