Geocache Description:

[LAT] Pie stigas apmēram 33 ha platībā vērojami lielāki un mazāki padziļināti taisnstūra laukumi ar vaļņveida malām (kaponieri). Tos 1944.gadā, II pasaules kara beigās, izveidoja vācu armijas karavīri. Mežā pirms atkāpšanās lokalizējās vācu armijas vieglā un smagā artilērija – lielgabali, tanki, motocikli utt., izveidojot poligonu. Lielākā kaponiera platums un garums ir apmēram 10x24 m, savukārt mazākajam – 10x12 m.

Šis slēpnis ir arī daļa no tūrisma akcijas "Simtgades dārgumi", ko organizē Valmieras Tūrisma informācijas centrs sadarbībā ar Kocēnu, Burtnieku un Beverīnas novadiem. Vairāk info:

[ENG] At the firebreak in the area around 33 ha can be seen larger and smaller in-depth rectangular fields with flankē edges (caponiers). They were created by German army soldiers in 1944 at the end of World War II. In the forest, before the retreat, the light and heavy artillery of the German army was localized - cannons, tanks, motorcycles, etc., creating a landfill. The largest caponier has a width and length of about 10x24 m, while the smallest is 10x12m.
