Geocache Description:

[LAT] Viena no iecienītākajām Valmieras iedzīvotāju vasaras atpūtas vietām nes izcilā latviešu soļotāja Jāņa Daliņa vārdu.

[ENG] One of the most popular places to relax in summer for the residents of Valmiera is named after the outstanding Latvian athlete - race walker Jānis Daliņš. In the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, Daliņš won the silver medal - the first Olympic medal won by a Latvian athlete under the Latvian flag. A sporty spirit is maintained in Dalin’s Beach also today.

This cache is also part of tourism campaign “Centennial treasures”. More info: visit.valmiera.lv
