Geocache Description:

St Peter's Cemetery is located West of Lovilia and has 519 memorials.

James Drury is a Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served during the Civil War as a Sergeant in Company C, 4th Vermont Volunteer Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery in action at The First Battle of Weldon Railroad, Virginia on June 23, 1864. His citation reads "He saved the colors of his regiment when it was surrounded by a much larger force of the enemy, and after the greater part of the regiment had been killed or captured. THe Find a Grave website lists James as being buried in Woodlawn Cemetery nearby but his stone is here, near the front gate.

Please be respectful, do not hunt at night, do not disturb mourners, and leave this peaceful and revered place in good condition.
